Whether you have kids and need to book that sitter asap or still young and in love pre-kids this list is for you if you’re coming to La Jolla.
Having a special night out and a reason especially as a woman to get dressed up is a must to feel like a normal human in society.
These are my go to spots where you can find me (think where’s Waldo) any given night of the week!
These restaurants all have a fun atmosphere, delicious food, amazing drinks, and friendly service.
Here they are in no particular order 🙂
#1 Herringbone: Herringbone is one of the best seafood based restaurants in La Jolla. They have such a great menu it’s been my go to place for years! They change their menu often but you really can’t go wrong. Also some of the most fun bartenders in town to help make your evening extra special.
#2 Catania: Catania is a great one. With peek a boo ocean views and the best duck sugo orecchiette you’ll ever have, you can’t miss out on this restaurant. The staff is always so friendly and the drinks are always delicious! The owner is a La Jolla native also and I love supporting them.
#3 Bistro Du Marche: One of the only french restaurants in La Jolla, you can’t miss out on Bistro Du Marche. They have the best steak frites around & the atmosphere is sophisticated and fun. Come early so you can sit at the bar and enjoy the friendly helpful staff, they are super sociable and ready for any questions or requests you may have.
#4 George’s at the Cove: George’s at the Cove has been a La Jolla staple for years. With some of the best views of the california coastline it feels super special when you are there. I personally love the farro salad and they also have great vegetarian and vegan options!
#5 Eddie V’s: Eddie V’s is my favorite upscale, seafood restaurant in all of San Diego! The ambiance is amazing, they have spectacular ocean views and heaters that make sitting on the patio super fun and enjoyable. With live Jazz music it is a great date spot to hang out at after you have an amazing dinner. I recommend the hope diamond cocktail and the parmesan crusted sole is incredible.
