Top Golf Courses in La Jolla

Top Gold

Every coastal city needs a good golf course (or three). La Jolla is known for having so many fun outdoor activities to do, golfing being one of the more popular options. With San Diego’s year round playing conditions, all skill levels are welcome to play at these beautifully landscaped and well kept courses.

  1. Torrey Pines Golf Course
Torrey Pines is known as one of the best municipal golf courses there is. This course has been ranked the “best” place to golf in a readers poll with the San Diego Union-Tribune and San Diego Magazine, and Golfweek Magazine included it among the list of “America’s Best Municipal Courses.” Torrey Pines has two of the most picturesque championship 18-hole golf courses in the world. Both of the courses are located at the top of the La Jolla cliffs towering above the Pacific Ocean where golfers can marvel at the breathtaking views of the coastline and deep ravines. And of course, Torrey Pines is open to the public. Getting a tee time is simple as it’s right on their website and the staff is always friendly and inviting.

  2. La Jolla Country Club
The Country Club in La Jolla was established in 1927 and has been enjoyed for generations by community members of La Jolla. This is a private course with 18 holes and has breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The course features 6 sets of tees for different skill levels and has an excellent restaurant on the premises to enjoy a delicious dinner after a friendly game of golf.

  3. Beach and Tennis Club
Located at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, the Spindrift Golf Course offers a scenic and challenging layout for players of all levels. Carved out of the beautiful coastal terrain of La Jolla, the 9-hole, Par-3 course is ideal for new golfers to learn the sport and for seasoned golfers to work on their short game and shoot under par. This private course is beautifully maintained and offers lessons to both kids and adults.
